Frequently asked questions
PNG photos will not go small enough — why?
Photo-like PNGs resist tight size limits. Switch output to JPEG or WebP in Custom settings, or lower max width, then compress again toward your target.
What is the default output format here?
PNG stays the default so screenshots and graphics keep lossless pixels and transparency. Change output in Custom settings when you need smaller photo files.
Can I use dedicated size pages instead?
Yes. Open Compress to 200KB, 500KB, or another size page when you need a preset limit. This hub is the same engine with PNG as the default export.
What do Compare and Adjust do?
Compare shows a before/after preview with sizes. Adjust re-runs one image with different quality, target size, or max width — useful when a screenshot looks soft or still exceeds your limit.
