The tool finds the highest quality that still meets the target size, and scales down only if needed. Images already under the limit are left unchanged.

How it works

  1. Step 1 · Add files

Add images; 1080px max width is already selected.

  2. Step 2 · Confirm settings

    Check dimensions after processing finishes.

  3. Step 3 · Download

Download results or a ZIP of the batch.

When you need 1080px

Thumbnails, article inline images, and mobile-first layouts often work well around 1080px wide.

Tips for best results

If file size is still too large after resizing, open Compress to 500KB or switch output to WebP in Custom settings.

Good for

  • Inline article images and mobile-first layouts
  • Social previews and lighter product thumbnails
  • When 1920px is overkill and you want faster loads

What to watch for

Max width is 1080px; tall screenshots stay tall. Set max height in Custom settings if both edges must be capped, then compress if a KB limit remains.

Frequently asked questions

Is 1080px the width or height?

This page limits max width to 1080px while keeping aspect ratio. Tall screenshots may still be taller — set max height in Custom if you need both edges capped.

Will quality look worse?

Downscaling usually looks fine for web use. Use Compare on any result to check sharpness before downloading.

Are my images uploaded?

No. Resizing runs in your browser only. Files never leave your device — see the Privacy page for details.

Can I resize and compress in one flow?

Yes. After resizing, open Compress or a dedicated size page like 200KB if the destination also has a file-size cap.
