Frequently asked questions
Is 5MB small enough for websites?
Usually not for a large photo at the top of a page. Prefer 500KB–1MB or WebP for faster loads; use 5MB when the destination allows larger uploads.
What if my file still exceeds 5MB?
Lower max width in Custom settings, switch photo output to JPEG or WebP, or try a smaller dedicated size page like Compress to 2MB.
Can I batch-compress to 5MB?
Yes. Add several large images, let local processing finish, then download each file or all results as a ZIP.
