Is JFIF different from JPG?
They are the same JPEG image family — JFIF is just a common container with a .jfif extension. This page saves files as .jpg for uploads that only accept that spelling.
Will converting JFIF to JPG reduce quality?
Re-encoding at high quality should look the same to the eye. If you need a strict size limit afterward, open Compress to 200KB or another size page.
Why do some sites reject .jfif files?
Many forms whitelist .jpg or .jpeg only, even though the image data is identical. Renaming alone may not work — re-saving as JPG through this tool usually fixes the upload.
